Description

This piece is a linear for a painting I never did. It was for an opening shot from my "final film" at school. The film was never finished (long story). One or two lines at most were done with a ruler... I think it is the resultant wonkiness that gives the drawing its charm (drawing freehand also keeps me sane. It is so much quicker than doing things technically). Looking at it with fresh eyes I still like it, though I wish I had not placed the left exhaust-pipe where I did. The rest of the problems (lack of ground plane and small structural issues) can easily be fixed when painting, so I am satisfied. Hopefully I will get this thing finished some day.

man i totally feel ya, freehand keeps me sane too...but even that seems to be waning this morning....anyway...you should put more freehand up! stay sane...its good for you. keep it up.

Nice job! I really like the blue line's, did you just use a blue color pencil? It almost has a blueprint look to it.

Wow. The depth and proportions are dead on, the angle is handled nicely, it looks functional... I adore it. You're right about the exhaust pipe, though I don't know where it would go instead.

This is excellent, the precision of the lines really stands out and the concept is great, reminds me of something from a Hayo Miyazaki film, great work! +7

hmm col-erase? hmm...animation? thats what im studying now. Interesting work on the technology behind the windmill. Your freehand is amazing! My hands still jiggle when i try to do decent lines x.x; Too bad that the animation short was never finished, im sure it would have been good. If you ever finish this some day, I'm sure we'd all be happy to see it in its finished form. Beautiful perspective 5/5 =)
