Hi folks. Here is my first submission to the site. After lurking for months I finally joined a couple days ago.

This painting had been vexing me greatly. I decided to put it aside for a bit and come back to it with fresh eyes. My fresh eyes are telling me that perhaps it is not as bad as I had thought. The head had been a source of concern and anxiety (the mouth does not make much sense), but now that I see it again I think I sorta like it. I would love to read some comments... what you people have to say will determine whether or not I call this painting finished.

A jolly lobster just in time for x-mas. He's great, and that bib with the little guy on it is too funny

I like the lobster, he's cute and jolly!! But the background isn't working for me with the lobster. I think it's the stark difference between the clean cut lines of the background and the lobster itself. Maybe a softer background? Or a different one to add more interest to the picture?
